About Deshaya

Deshaya Williams, started as a trained birth doula in 2017 (DONA International). After obtaining a better understanding of the need for birth justice she cross-trained and certified with Ancient Song Full- Spectrum Doula Services.

She has found her calling educating, supporting, encouraging women during birth and transitioning through the 4th trimester postpartum journey. Each birth is exciting and different and each one creates a new family; it is a great honor to be of service to families at such a great time of transition in their lives. She has supported families through hospital births, birth center births, cesareans, and VBAC’s.

Williams is known as a leader that leads by example and will challenge you to think beyond what you see before you, see your goals, your dreams and how you can make progress towards them. Partnering with others to help them find solutions for their most pressing life transitions is all part of the connection process as you work with me. 

 

Williams comes to doula work from the athletic coaching world. With her many years of coaching experience, Williams is committed to working with you as a birth support coach on your terms in your best environment. 

 

Her dynamic personality, personal anecdotes, and enthusiastic energy is contagious and inspires you to work harder, dream bigger and believe in yourself. She firmly believes in family and the importance of "the village" to navigate the birth process and the 4th trimester and beyond in parenting.
